    Professional Association of Diving Instructors

    Our certified PADI instructors (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) are always willing to teach you all their knowledge with pedagogy and security. By joining a PADI course, you will discover the underwater world!

    We are training divers from “Open Water Diver” to “Divemaster”. We are also teaching the following specialities: Deep, Navigation, Nitrox and Peak Performance Buoyancy!

    Open water diver course

    The PADI Open Water Diver course is the first step to becoming a qualified diver. This course allows people to develop their knowledge about scuba diving. After completing the theory and practice, open water divers can go to 18 meters depth. During this course, you will learn to dive safely with a buddy. If you like to discover the underwater life, this course is made for you!

    Minimum age: 10 years old (divers from 10 to 14 years old get a JUNIOR Open Water Diver qualification, that limits them to a depth of 12 meters)

    Development of the course:

    The theory part is always e-learning, online, on the PADI-web. There are 5 chapters, some knowledge reviews and a final exam, all online. After that, you are ready to come here for the practical part of the course.

    • Pool sessions to learn all the different exercises in a protected area
    • 4 training dives in a natural environment (on the Montgrí coast)
    • Free 5th dive on the Medes Islands!

    Advanced open water diver course

    The next level after the OWD course is the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver. This course allows divers to improve their diving skills and explore other ways of specialised diving like the deep dive, or the navigation dive, for example. Every student taking part in this course will gain diving experience and further develop their education.

    Minimum age: 12 years old (Divers from 12 to 14 years old are certified as JUNIOR Advanced Open Water Diver, that limits them to a depth of 21 meters)

    Requirements: Be certified as PADI Open Water Diver, or an equivalent level in another scuba diving organization

    Development of the course:

    • 5 natural environment training dives (dives can eventually be done on the Medes islands nature reserve)
    • 5 theory chapter reviews with the instructor

    Rescue Diver

    The PADI Rescue Diver course teaches divers how to deal with problems that can occur during a dive. Divers doing the Rescue course will continue to develop their knowledge in diving and become more autonomous. Divers learn to recognize a problem or emergency and learn how react accordingly.

    Minimum age: 12 years old (Divers from 12 to 14 years old are certified as JUNIOR Rescue Diver, that limits them to a depth of 21 meters)

    Requirements:

    • Be certified as PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, or an equivalent level in another organization of scuba diving
    • Be certified as EFR Primary & Secondary Care, or equivalent CPR training from another organization, less than 24 months old (This training can be achieved during the Rescue Diver course)

    Development of the course:

    •  Pool sessions
    • 10 exercises and scenarios in a natural environment: self-rescue, recognise and assist a diver in distress, management of the emergency equipment, rescue an unconscious or panicking diver
    • 5 Theory chapters with book and DVD
    • 1 final exam

    Divemaster course

    The PADI Divemaster course follows the Rescue Diver course. This PADI course is intended for those willing to become professional divers. This course allows students to develop their knowledge and abilities and become a reference to other divers. As a Divemaster, you will be allowed to guide people and help the instructor during courses. You will also be able to share your passion and knowledge for diving!

    Minimum age: 18 years old

    Requirements: 

    • Be certified as a PADI Rescue Diver, or an equivalent level in another scuba diving organization
    • Be certified in EFR Primary & Secondary Care, or equivalent CPR training from another organization, less than 24 months old (This training can be achieved during the Divemaster course)
    • Have a minimum of 40 registered dives at the start of the course and 60 dives by the end of the course

    Development of the course:

    • Theory with the instructor (Books and Final exam)
    • Development of an emergency plan of a dive site
    • Water skills development
    • Rescue a diver
    • Assessment of the diving skills in the pool and in open water
    • Practical skills: Dive site set up, Mapping, Briefing…
    • Divemaster-conducted programs
    • Workshops
    • Professionalism

    Emergency First Response course

    The Emergency First Response – Primary & Secondary Care course teaches you how to practice CPR and Primary & Secondary Care (Obligatory for Rescue and Divemaster course). This course is for everybody who would like to learn the Primary & Secondary Care, for divers and non-divers!

    You will be taught rescue techniques in a recreational environment and how to take the necessary action in case of emergency.

    Development of the course:

    • Theory sessions in class
      CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation) and artificial respiration
    • Prevention and management of shock
    • Primary Care and Secondary Care
    • First aid kit

    Duration of the course: 1 day and a half
